My son and his wife thought it was great and it works very well.  OK, but more directions for multiple monitors at once, This review is from: Sony NTM-910DUAL Babycall Nursery Monitor w/Two Receivers (Electronics) We've been using two of these for several months now. We like the fact that Sony sells them with two receviers for the one transmitter. We have a matched set (2 transmitters and 4 receivers) - one group for each child.Overall the units have worked mostly ok, but with static issues here and there with them. Our house is not that big, so I would have expected better operation in that area. It seems to me it works better when the transmitters are running all the time without turning them on and off. Unlike other reviews, we like that the units shut off if the power cord is plugged into the receiver and they do not switch to battery. We have our receivers on a power strip so can shut them all off at once. It helped to adjust the frequencies so the transmitters were not running on channels right next to each other. The directions do NOT have any guides on how to know what color code is for what frequency. We ran for weeks and weeks with them running... I am so glad that she got them on clearance at Wal-mart instead of paying full price for them. We got them all charged up, and were so excited because they were supposed to be these great monitors. I thought since they were Sony, surely they would be good quality. I was sorely mistaken. They crackled and popped, and honestly, I couldn't hear the baby. Randomly they would squeal, so I couldn't sleep either. We tried changing the channels and moving the base around, but nothing helped. It would even pick up the sound from the air conditioning unit outside my son's room, which is something you can barely hear while standing in the room. I ended up turning the thing off and bringing the baby into my room. I wanted to take a sledgehammer to them, but my husband wouldn't let me. Heehee... My husband got online the following morning and bought a set from Avent, and those are the best monitors ever! I wish I had had those for my first... Read more |
